Glo Sim Welcome Back Tips
In other to perform GLO welcome back or sim swap, you need the following requirements;
The GLO sim pack of your lost or damaged sim OR a list of
five (5) numbers you regularly call.
A valid form of identification. (e.g Drivers license, International
passport, National I.D, Student's I.D or any means of identifidcation)
#100 (#1,000 optional).
Note:Depending on the mobile office you visit. some will charge you #100 for welcome Back/ sim
swap which is the money for the new GLO sim that will be
given to you where as some will insist you buy up to #500 or #1000 recharge card.
With the above requirements ready, just visit any GLO mobile office
nearest to you and have them do the welcome back/sim swap for you.
MTN welcome back Steps
To perform a welcome back or sim swap from the comfort of your home or office. You need to call MTN CUSTOMER CARE HELP LINE on 180 from any other MTN line or 0n 0803180 from any other local network line of your choice.
But before you make the call, you need to have the following requirements ready
- THE NEW MTN WELCOME BACK SPECIAL SIM CARD. (different from your normal sim pack)
- Your old sim pack.
When you get the two of them, then call MTN customer care help line on 180 and tell them you want to perform a welcome back or a sim swap.
You will then be asked the following questions for you to prove that you are truly the owner of the MTN line you want to welcome back.
- Your first and Last name
- If you lost or damaged your old MTN line or if it was stolen.
- The tariff plan you were on before you lost or damaged your MTN line.( tariff plan are packages like MTN family and Friends, MTN pay go, MTN funlink, MTN super saver etc)
- The number of your old line and the PUK NUMBER(can be found at the back of your old sim pack)
- The SERIAL NUMBER and the PUK(personal unblocking key)(can also be found at the back of the NEW MTN WELCOME BACK SPECIAL SIM you bought)
- When you started using your line.
- Numbers on you Family and Friends or Numbers you regularly call.
- The amount of credit/airtime you last recharged your old MTN line with.
Mind you, how correctly you answer the above questions will determine if they will do the welcome back for you or not.
Once you have correctly supplied the answers to the above questions, you will then be told to wait for at most 24hours before you can start using you new sim.
At the expiration of the 24 hours or at least after 12 hours still call MTN CUSTOMER CARE LINE to verify if your welcome back or sim swap has been performed.
PLEASE, DO NOT IN ANYWAY PUT THE NEW SIM INTO ANY PHONE UNTIL YOU HAVE VERIFIED FROM MTN CUSTOMER CARE HELP LINE THAT YOUR WELCOME BACK HAS BEEN PERFORMED, ELSE, YOU HAVE RUBBISHED THE WELCOME BACK SIM AND YOU WILL BUY ANOTHER ONE AND REDO THE WELCOME BACK AGAIN.
Etisalat Sim Welcome-Back Process
Follow these steps:-
1. Get your old Sim puk number. You can get that on the plastic
card that came with your sim pack. But if you've lost your sim
pack, Simply contact Etisalat customer care number on 200
and follow the voice prompt
2. Get a new Etisalat sim, you don't need to register it.
3. Visit http://etisalat.com.ng/simswap/
and fill the form that is on the page, Click submit when you're
done.
That's all wait for the next 24 hours before you activate your
new sim which now carries your old number. If it doesn't activate
immediately, don't bother just wait a little more it'll eventually work later.
NOTE: Make sure you used a working e-mail when asked because further
communications will be made via your e-mail
Airtel Sim Welcome Back via mobile phone
Do you know you can successfully activate your airtel sim Swap via your mobile phone? Ok! these are the steps without wasting time
Materials Needed for this Process
1. Any mobile phone
2. A new Airtel simpack
3. Your old simpack ,
Once you have the above, proceed to the request format. Open you phone SMS composer and type the
following:
Your Name {space} Contact Number {space} Mobile Number you want to welcome back {space} Serial Number of old sim {space} Serial Number of new sim {space} Puk Number of old sim {space} Puk number of new sim {space} Mobile number of the new sim you bought
Send the above just the way they are to 190
Just like this format

Send the above to 190
Note: This service is free of charge, just send it and Airtel
will do the rest.
Now to know when the Line is Activated, It may take up to 24 or 48 hours for your line to be activated. Just make sure you provide a valid and reachable contact number which Airtel will use to contact you once your new line is ready.
